Mumbai: Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal, a well-known educational trust, running number of premier institutes like NMIMS University, Mithibai College of Arts, Shri Bhagubhai Mafatlal Polytechnic, Narsee Monjee College of Commerce and Economics, Narsee Monjee Junior College of Commerce, Amrutaben Jivanlal College of Commerce and Economics, Chatrabhuj Narsee Memorial School since last 70 years, is organizing third SVKMastermind 2008 - a one-day Career Fair with vocational guidance seminar for SSC & HSC students.

Organized on Sunday, 30th March at B.J. Hall, Vile Parle (W), SVKMastermind-2008 will begin with  Seminar on Career Options after HSC and HSC (9.30 am- 12.30 pm) and will be concluded with an Education Fair (1pm – 4.30pm).

The Seminar will feature vocational guidance by different professional experts while Education Fair will provide individual career counseling by a range of SVKM Institutes.

SVKMastermind-2008 will provide all the information under one roof, required to opt for an appropriate programme as a career option from a rang of courses like BBA, BMS, B.Sc.(IT), Kingston University (U.K.) Programmes plus Engineering & Computer Science, 5-Year Law, Pharmacy including MBA-Pharma Tech, B.Tech, MBA-Tech, Bachelor of Architecture etc.

SVKMastermind -2008 is the golden opportunity for all those students appeared for SSC/HSC exams and their parents to select the best suitable graduation programme, its scope, eligibility criteria, admission procedure etc.

About Shri Vile Parle Kelvani Mandal (SVKM)

Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal is a Public Charitable Trust registered under (i) the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1960 No. 773 of 1934-35 and (ii) the Bombay Public Trusts Act, 1950 (Bombay XXIX of 1950) No. F 30 (BOM) 1953.

The Mandal was formed in 1934 & commenced its activities by taking over the Rashtriya Shala, a school established in 1921 in the wake of the national movement. The school was later renamed "Shrimati Gokalibai Punamchand Pitamber High School". The school has now grown into a first class institute, imparting secondary education to about 2300 pupils.

To mark the 25th year of its valuable service in the field of Primary and Secondary Education, the Mandal decided to extend its activities to the sphere of University Education. The long felt need for a Science and Arts college in the growing western suburbs of Mumbai was fulfilled by the Mandal by establishing "Mithibai College of Arts and Chauhan Institute of Science" in 1961. The Trustees of Matushri Mithibai Balashram and sons of late Shri Mohanlal Dayal Chauhan made this possible because of handsome donations.

The spirit of transcending horizons has its genesis in the values that the Mandal has conscientiously practised since the days of India's struggle for freedom. The values of patriotic fervour, selfless service and the spirit of indigenous enterprise serve as the guiding principles to all the institutions set up by the Mandal.
