Mumbai: NITIE (National Institute of Industrial Engineering) is organizing its annual event on field marketing –'Mandi' on Saturday, July 31st 2010.

Every year, for the past 6 years, NITIE students roam the streets of Mumbai for a da selling educational toys designed by the NGO, Navnirmiti. So far, a huge chunk of Navnirmiti's funding has been from the money generated from this event.

For the first time ever, NITIE is scaling new heights with Maha Mandi. Due to the phenomenal success of Mandi in previous years, some of the best MBA institutes in Mumbai, such as SJMSOM, KJSOM, TISS and NMIMS, have decided to participate.

The first market that they will face as corporates; they will face during Maha Mandi. It educates the students about importance of giving back to the society while practicing their academics in the challenging market place. This year, the event is sponsored by Canara Bank and rediff.com. The latter is organizing contests for the best picture and video taken during Maha Mandi.
