All is well with NMAT 2010 20,000 test successfully up to Day 6 Mumbai: India's premier management school, Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), has reviewed test reschedule request petitions by nearly 60 candidates who reported to their test venue but were not allowed to appear for their test due to discrepancy in documentation or late arrival. "NMIMS granted reschedule of test dates to 41 candidates based on the genuineness of their requests. All the candidates have been communicated the decision," according to the Chairman of the NMAT Admissions Committee. The NMAT, being synchronously conducted in 19 cities each in India and 11 other countries by Pearson VUE, will admit candidates to nearly 570 seats in management programs of NMIMS. The test results will be used for admission to NMIMS' full time and part time management programs and Executive Ph.D. program in Management studies. A network switch at a centre in Nagpur developed a fault leading to stoppage of the test for 61 minutes. The fault was localized and the faulty switch was replaced with the backup. The test was resumed from where the candidates left off. The feedback about the superior, yet equally rigorous, testing experience continues to pour in from candidates across the country as NMIMS' first ever computer based NMAT was successfully administered to the 20,000th candidate on day 6. "The tests timings across 12 countries have been allocated in a manner so that the tests are delivered synchronously across all the countries simultaneously," the Pearson VUE India MD added. About NMIMS Its flagship programme however remains MBA, which comes under NMIMS School of Business Management. The institute is also coming up with another campus in Bangalore largely focusing on executive management education. NMIMS has recently acquired land in Chandigarh and soon will establish a campus in north India as well. About Pearson VUE |
