Annual Culture, Education Congress 2012 from Jan 12

New Delhi: An annual educational and cultural event featuring workshops, talks, and dance performances will start in the city from January 12, 2012 and continue for four days.

The event will be hosted by Shruti Foundation in partnership with the Indian Council for Cultural Relations. Eminent International personalities will participate in the "We ASC World education Culture Congress 2012", which will be held at the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) on January 12 and 13, and at the India Habitat Centre (IHC) on January 14 and 15.

The event aims to examine new experiments in education and cultural systems for developing formats as well as practical solutions for leadership, self-development, human empowerment, and sustainable progress.

The Union Minister of State for Commerce and Industry, Jyotiraditya Scindia will inaugurate the event with keynote plenary address at ICCR. The ICCR President, Karan Singh will also be present at the occasion. Famous dancer Sonal Mansingh has been invited for performing a dance sequence called the "Nayika".

Knowledge guru Sam Pitroda will grace the event by delivering a special plenary address at IHC on January 14, 2012.

In the year 2011, delegates from more than 40 countries participated in the first edition of the event in Delhi.
