Made the cut at DU - Time to get your documents ready

New Delhi: Have you made the cut to your dream college at Delhi University (DU) this year? It is time to then get all important documents ready to secure a seat at the college of your choice before time runs out!!

The Common Admission Forms are used to only short-list candidates for various courses. Students will have to purchase separate admission forms from the college counter and submit it to the department in which he/she is seeking admission.

Students are advised to carry the following documents:

- Original Marksheets of Class 10 & 12 Board Exams

- Provisional Pass Certificate if not original

- Character and Migration Certificates from the institution last attended

- Certificate of Date of Birth (normally the Secondary School Examination Certificate)

- Medical fitness and participation certificates for admissions on the basis of Sports and Extra-Curricular Quota

- Atleast 5 recent passport-size photographs

- SC/ST/OBC Certificates if applicable

Colleges, have, however said that students need not rush, as the admission process based on the First Cut-Off List will be spread over three days i.e. June 27, 2008 - June 30, 2008 (Upto 1 pm for day colleges and 4-7 pm for evening colleges).

Students who have applied under the OBC Quota must ensure that their certificate has the non-creamy layer certification.

Admissions to the hostels of various colleges will be made on a merit-basis and the list will be notified by colleges separately.

The second cut-off list for admissions to the varsity will be declared on July 1, 2008.
