UP varsity announces scholarships worth Rs.216 lakhs
Lucknow: The meritorious students of Gautam Buddha University (GBU) and those belonging to Below Poverty Line (BPL) families have a reason to cheer as the Uttar Pradesh Government has recently released Rs.216 lakhs as scholarships to make higher education accessible to all.

The initiative is being launched in collaboration between the University and the International Business Academy, Denmark, where an official press release said that the amount has been allocated to fund the education of such students.

The eligibility of the students for the scholarship programme would be based on the marks obtained in the first year.

The university would further ensure that the students should fulfill the requirements of foreign universities and qualify language-related exams if required, the release said.
