Aligarh: The Faculty of Unani Medicine at the
Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) is organizing an international conference on Integrative Medicine and the first South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) Conference on Unani Medicine in December this year.
The main emphasis of the conference will be on the evaluation of quality, efficacy and safety of Unani Medicine. Although Natural Health Products (NHP) are being used since centuries in almost all parts of the globe as traditional medical culture is gaining more popularity in many countries, there is renewed interest in many new arrays for exploration and regulation related development, both in pharmaceutical and nutraceutical products.
The conference will provide an international forum to discuss the matter and an incredible opportunity for debate and exchange of ideas with the leading experts to rejuvenate the Unani System of Medicine.
The Organizing Secretary of the Conference, Prof. S. H. Afaq of the Department of Pharmacology said that interested teachers, researchers and scholars are welcome to participate in the conference and join the array of the Natural Heath Products and interact with the scientists, technologists and Traditional Unani (Medical) practitioners to make the deliberation a great success.
