Aligarh: The
Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) on Tuesday decided to hold fresh entrance examination for post-graduate medical courses after student groups alleged irregularities and a probe committee confirmed some shortcomings.
Following the students' complaints about the entrance test to the MD/MS/MDS courses held on January 24, Vice Chancellor P.K. Abdul Azis set up a three-member enquiry committee to probe the allegations.
In its report, the committee identified a number of shortcomings in the conduct of the examination.
The Vice Chancellor ordered the entrance examination to be conducted afresh within the shortest time possible.
