AMU launches free cardiac check up camp
Aligarh: The Super Specialty OPD of J N Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) in collaboration of Vardhman Mahaveer Medical College, New Delhi organized a free cardiac checkup camp at the Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College (JNMC) recently.

At the camp, a number of heart patients who needed valve surgery were facilitated with free cardiac checkups but lacked the resources for it.

The patients were facilitated with the checkups at the camp organized by the efforts of Prof. Ashraf Malik, Principal JNMC and Chief Medical Superintendent of Medical College Hospital, Dr. Vithal Betagiri, Chairman, Cardiac Surgery Department, Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi, Dr. Shailesh Jain, Consultant, Cardiac Diseases, Dr. Haseen Azam and Prof. M. U. Rabbani, Director, Cardiology Centre, J. N. Medical College, AMU.


Dr. Rabbani and Dr. Jain said that valve surgery will be performed free of cost under the concession granted by Government of India.

Dr. Rabbani told that the administration of JNMC and the University has been seriously making efforts to provide Cathlab and Cardiac Surgery so that complete heart care solution could be provided to the patients.
