Chennai: During a press conference on Tuesday, Union Minister of State for Planning and Parliamentary Affairs V. Narayanasamy said that the UPA government was considering tabling two important Bills concerning education during the winter session of the Parliament that will commence in October.

The two educational Bills concern the entry of foreign universities in India and another on controlling capitation fee for seats in educational institutions.

Narayanasamy said that both the proposed Bills are currently before a Parliamentary standing committee for final assessment before they are tabled in the Parliament.

He further informed that the government has also been working towards introducing the Women's Reservation Bill in the Lok Sabha, which seeks to provide 33 percent reservation for women in Lok Sabha and state legislatures.
