Sibal asks NCERT revise CCE for disabled students
New Delhi: It seems that the Human Resource Development (HRD) Ministry is keen to spread education in all areas of the society, including to students with disabilities.

The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) was asked by HRD Minister Kapil Sibal to introduce a new methodology which would help schools in implementing the Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) system for students with special needs.

Schools affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) have complained that the CCE system which was implemented in schools this year, is not friendly towards students with disabilities.

This is because the CCE system grades students according to a series of extra-curricular activities, along with the academics, which a student with special needs may not be able to perform.
