Engineering, architecture entrance test postponed
New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Saturday announced that the All India Engineering/Architecture Entrance Examination (AIEEE), scheduled to be held on April 24, 2011, has been rescheduled for May 1 next year.

An official statement from the CBSE said that the 'pen and paper' exam has been rescheduled due to Easter falling on April 24.

The sale of information bulletins has also been postponed to December 22, 2010. It was to start from December 15 earlier.

However, the date for online examinations will remain unchanged. The online exams will be held for the first time for one lakh students May 1-15.

Students from 20 cities will be giving the online exams, with a maximum of 5,000 per city on first-come-first-served basis. IANS
