Ariyalur: The Government Adidravida Welfare Higher Secondary School in Poovanipattu village in Tamil Nadu was inspected by District Collector T. Abraham recently.

The Collector urged all teachers of the school to encourage their students to appear and secure high marks in public examination.

After inspecting the attendance registers of the school, Abraham directed the headmaster of the school to ask parents of all students that had not attended school regularly to meet him in person.

In order to judge the general knowledge of students in the Class 12, the Collector asked them some general knowledge questions.

Abraham urged teachers to conduct special classes for students of the twelfth standard to help them in attaining high marks in public examinations. He also declared that in case students attained low marks in particular subjects, stringent actions will be taken against teachers of those subjects.

"Teachers should motivate students. I ask you to cooperate with y our students to ensure that they try to attain hundred percent results in all government higher secondary schools in the district for the current academic session," he said.
