Students exchange programme mooted for Tamil Nadu, German students
Chennai: Minister of Bavaria (southern state of Germany) has proposed an idea of students exchange programme along with research programmes of its universities along with that of Tamil Nadu's.

This deal was inked pact in a meeting on Friday between Wolfgang Heubisch, Bavarian Minister of Science, Research and Culture, and K. Ponmudy, Higher Education Minister of the state.

According to K. Ganesan, Principal Secretary (Higher Education), Dr. Ponmudy responded favourably for the deal.

The Hof University of Applied Sciences and PSG Institute of Management, Coimbatore also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for a postgraduate degree course in management.

It is expected that as many as fifty students each from Germany and the State would be entitled to study the course.

C.R. Swaminathan, Chief Executive of the PSG institutions, and Jurgen Lehmann, president of the University, signed the MoU.
