Jaipur: The Rajasthan state education department has brought about a change in the No-Objection Certificate (NOC) policy for colleges offering post graduate programmes for the academic session 2010-11.

According to the modifications, colleges throughout the state running with a temporary NOC (T-NOC) will not be able to run post graduation (PG) courses without obtaining a permanent no-objection certificate (P-NOC).

It was also decided that it would be necessary for colleges operating on T-NOC from the last three or more years to acquire a P-NOC. The colleges have been given two years' time for it.

Around 650 private and aided colleges have been running on T-NOC since more than three years whereas 200 colleges have permanent NOC from the government.

According to standards, P-NOC is released only after completing the requirements of own land and building, approval of Principal and other staff from concerned university, and facility of payment of salaries by bank.
