Group discussion and interview time for CAT aspirants

New Delhi: The struggle to crack the group discussion and personal interview rounds at the Indian Institute of Management has begun with a bang. With the results of the Common Aptitude Test (CAT) 2011, declared on Wednesday, students are now giving their hundred percent to prepare for the forth coming rounds to secure a seat in some of the prestigious management institutes in the country.

The Common Aptitude Test (CAT) 2011 was conducted across 36 cities in the country, where 2.05 lakh students appeared. But a few lucky amongst such a huge number got a call from the coveted IIMs.

One among the few lucky candidates, who is presently working with the Tata Consultancy Services, said that he has scored 100 percentile with 99.73 in the quantitative section and 99.99 in the verbal ability section. As of now he has got an interview call from IIM-Ahmedabad and hopes to make it to at least one of the IIMs.

For other candidates, with percentiles below 100 can hope and try their luck with institutes such as the Faculty of Management Studies (FMS) and SP Jain Institute of Management and Research.

An aspirant, who has scored 97 percentile, said that she took the help of a writer, who dictated her questions during the exam. She has computed the answers and marked them. She is now hoping to get a call from the IIMs and FMS and which is what she was primarily targeting.
