Ahmedabad: The Common Admission Test (CAT) 2009, conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs), will certainly be remembered for a long time.
Firstly, the all-important examination going online; secondly, technical glitches marring the successful conduct of the examination; thirdly, the first ever instance where a second phase of the examination had to be conducted.
The new addition to the list being the CAT 2009 results, which were declared on
Sunday, the February 28, 2010.
Within minutes of the results being declared, the official CAT-IIM website, much to the agony of lakhs of students, chocked because of "heavy traffic", as the officials informed.
Students were not able to see their CAT scorecards till late in the afternoon.
The website, however, could come up with the scorecards only after 6 pm.
Successful students are now awaiting calls for a seat in the IIMs across the country. Till yesterday, only IIM
Ahmedabad and IIM Shillong announced a short-list of candidates.
The other IIMs are expected to announce the short-lists in the coming days.
