No consensus on Maharashtra percentile system

Mumbai: A bench of Bombay High Court comprising Chief Justice Swatander Kumar and Justice A.P. Deshpande has not been able to arrive at an unanimous decision on the percentile system introduced by the Government of Maharashtra.

The matter will now be sent to Justice J.N. Patel's bench for a hearing on the petition.

The State Government has been held back by the High Court from making "any further admissions till the judgment is pronounced by the third judge, except by the golden rule of merit-cum-choice".
