Mumbai: Thousand of B. Ed students who cleared their exams from the University of Mumbai are still waiting for their mark sheets.

The result of final-year announced on July 14, but the report cards haven't been received by B. Ed students yet.

"Usually the score card reaches colleges within a couple of days after the results are declared. But this time it's been nearly 3 weeks and there is no sign of reaching. The students are being put through a lot of inconvenience this year as they can't even apply for the Master's programme," said Senate member, Dilip Karande.

He added that there was error in printing of the score cards and thousands of printed cards were scrapped and a fresh printing job had to be issued.

"Aspirants should score minimum 35 marks in each subject and 40pc is the aggregate score to pass. Whereas, the score cards had 35% printed as the minimum passing percentage," he avers.

However, University officials refuted the charges.

When asked about the delay in dispatching score cards, Vilas Shinde, controller of examinations put the blame on the fact that the university staff was on strike which led to delaying of a lot of work.

"The staff was on a pen-down strike for five days. Even the vendor who is responsible for the printing job delayed the delivery. Apart from all this, I am not aware of any error that may have cropped up during printing; as we sent all the correct information from the university," Shinde said.

B. Ed students can expect their mark-sheets by the end of this week.
