China mulls preschool fee cut
Beijing: China plans to rein in the high costs of preschool education in the country.

The education ministry has asked schools to abolish unauthorized charges. It has prohibited schools from collecting fees for workshops, training programs and parent-student meetings.

In 2011, the government allocated 3 billion yuan (nearly $480 million) for development of preschool education in the rural areas. IANS
