Developed nations create problems, Developing countries carry the burdens.

They always do. It's the global order. It shall remain the order. That's going by the dictates of the current global economic recession. There's a way what happens in the developed nations seep down to the developing countries, often with negative effects. One reason is that the latter's economy is tied to that of the former.

The possible impact of the global financial crisis looms large on the campus, brining in an element of uncertainty about the placements of students.

But fortunately, the intellectual class provides its support to the student community in such a situation. They try and instill confidence in students by making them believe that recession is a temporary situation and they must handle it with a positive frame of mind while giving in a deaf ear to the global recession.

This is what NNE witnessed at the 'Convocation 2009' of Amity University. Interacting with students, NNE journalists could clearly identify the confidence of students at the University.

"Every Amitian is confident enough about their placement and future and has a positive attitude towards the society and nation building. We really appreciate their confidence and positive approach towards their life and career. They showed their immense pleasure in becoming a part of the Amity organization and put their encouraging hands in making the occasion successful not only for them but also for their successors", said NNE team members at the venue - Dibyajyoti Borah and Jagriti Kumari.

On the very occasion, Vice Chancellor of Amity University, Maj. Gen. K Jai Singh said that despite several Universities grappling with the repercussions of economic slowdown; Amity University has done exceedingly well with almost 100% placements in MBA, Nanotechnology, Telecom technology, Micro Biology and Herbal Medicine, Competitive Intelligence and many other flagship courses offered by the University.

Students from Amity University opined that the current global market crisis is a matter of concern regarding the placement of students. They were, however, confident of the fact that what is happening or will happen to the market, if they are skilled and brilliant and ready to accept everything with a positive attitude, they will definitely get enough chances to prove themselves.

Students of Amity University unanimously accepted that Amity has given them much more exposure and they are altogether ready to meet the challenges of life as they have gained modern technical and theoretical skill to face it.

One of the management students from Amity, who also received "The LG Best Potential Manager Award" expressed that students of Amity have been taught to accept everything as a challenge whether it is something positive or negative. He said the present recession is a phase of economy and people should be optimistic about the present condition of global economy.

One student from B.Sc Forensic Science affirmed that Amity has offered other related courses like languages classes on French, Spanish along with the respective courses which definitely help them become successful. She also referred to the brilliant placements of other courses such as MBA and B.Tech offered by Amity University.

Another student from Mass Communication and Journalism readily accepted the view of many others that Amity has given them a platform to place their own views. She emphasized the vital role played by the Media in the present global perspective.
