IITs to conduct JEE 2009 on Apr 12

New Delhi: The Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) will conduct the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE)-2009 on April 12, 2009.

The JEE is conducted for admission to undergraduate courses at the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs); Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University (IT-BHU), Varanasi and Indian School of Mines University (ISMU), Dhanbad.

It is a mandatory entrance examination for all Indian and foreign nationals seeking admission to the above mentioned institutes.

JEE 2009 Announcement

The examination will consist of two papers, each of three hours duration. Paper 1 and Paper 2 will each have three separate sections on Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

Both papers will be objective-type, designed to test comprehension, reasoning and analytical ability of candidates.

Examination schedule for JEE 2009

Date of Examination: 12th April, 2009 (Sunday)

Paper 1: 09.00 to 12.00 hrs.
Paper 2: 14.00 to 17.00 hrs.

A candidate can submit the application form either online or off-line through paper application.

The last date for receipt of completed application form at all IITs is December 24, 2008.
