IIT JEE Results 2010 on May 26 at 8 am
New Delhi: The results of the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) - Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) 2010 will be announced on May 26, 2010 at around 8 am IST.

Over 4.7 lakh students, who appeared for JEE 2010, are awaiting their results eagerly.

The Delhi High Court had earlier declined to stay the declaration of this year's IIT JEE results but asked the institutes to explain as to why so many mistakes crept in during the all-India test.

A division bench of acting Chief Justice Madan B. Lokur and Justice Mukta Gupta declined to stay the declaration of IIT-JEE result but directed the IIT to explain by way of affidavit how the mistakes occurred.

"Demonstrate to us the software with which you set these papers and also how the papers are scrutinised,' the court said when the counsel for IIT claimed that their system is foolproof and is up to standard.

The court directed the IIT to file an affidavit by June 2.

The court was hearing a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) of a non-government organisation (NGO) that has sought a stay on the declaration of result of the Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT) entrance exam held on April 11.
