New Delhi: It is time for Rendezvous 2009 - The largest college festival of north India is back again to judder the youth of the nation with its grandeur and excitement. Like every year, the cultural extravaganza is all set to win thousands of hearts, to blow out their minds and shoot up adrenaline levels.

The legacy of Rendezvous ensures whopping crowds flocking in to the lush green campus of the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi (IIT-D) to engage into the fun and frolic. With new events introduced, the event has already captured the imagination of youth across the nation by providing something to every genre of audience.

Rendezvous, as the name suggests, marks the convergence of art, talent and enthusiasm, which symbolizes Gen-next. It is the biggest youth platform in North India, which sees a huge youth turnout every year.

"There are over 40 inter-college cultural competitions where a college can compete with the best in India. Besides these, there are events ranging from performances by famous Bollywood singers to electrifying rock acts by the country´s best bands; from melodies by classical geniuses to the fun of all day dance-parties. All this interspersed with scores of informal events like Go Karting and Paintball, we promise to cater to the interests of every single individual", an event coordinator at IIT Delhi said.

This year, Rendezvous will be organized starting on September 24, 2009.

Blitzkrieg, the biggest rock show of India goes international this year. The stage shall shudder as the boisterous sound of Malefice, the British metal core band fills the open air theatre on 26th September. Truly a head bangers ball, the rock show shall be pre headlined by Prestorika

Saaz, a scintillating evening with the twin duo of Amaan and Ayaan Ali Khan promises to grip the audience with bold and resonating strokes would be parallely held with blitzkrieg in the hockey field thus fulfilling the needs of all genre of music lovers.

Dhoom- the pronite, the biggest pop gig would exhort you to swing with the waving crowds at the open air theatre as they sing along the melodies of Mohit Chauhan. The event shall be pre-headlined by Faridkot, of the Channel V Launchpad fame and Groove Adda. This most look forward to event would be held on the 27th September.

Kaleidoscope, the exquisite confluence of glamour art and style. It is a perfect blend of colours and themes, lifestyle and choreography fashion and art. Lifestyle sets new statement for the young generation. With a theme to portray, ideas come to the fore as designers display their creativity and models flaunt their Panache on the ramp.

Spectrum, the inter college group dance competition is the best platform to showcase talent and innovation that mesmerises one and all. The impeccable combination of exuberant dancers, melodious music imparting the event elegance and charm will be held on 24th September at Open Air Theatre.
