IIM-Rohtak foundation stone to be laid by Kapil Sibal

Chandigarh: Member of Parliament from Rohtak, Deepender Singh Hooda has announced that the foundation stone for the new Indian Institute of Management at Garnawathi village in Rohtak will be laid by Human Resource Development Minister Kapil Sibal on September 3.

The MP had attended a meeting with the HRD minister on Tuesday.

Hooda informed that the campus for the upcoming institute would be established at a cost of about Rs.800 crore and across an area of over 200 acres. The classes for IIM-Rohtak have already commenced at the campus of the Maharishi Dayanand University in Rohtak.

Kapil Sibal had also approved the beginning of classes for the academic year 2010-2011 at Central School in Bhakli in the district of Rewari.
