Chandigarh: Owing to the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, 774 schools in
Haryana would be up with the construction of ramps to help physically challenged students easily enter into the classrooms with the help of tri-cycles.
According to an official release on
Sunday, "Due to high level elevation from ground it was observed that the physically challenged students who came to schools on tri-cycles faced difficulty in reaching their class rooms."
The facilities would be set up in 774 schools at a cost of Rs.50 lakh.
The authorities, in the initial stage, would first prioritize and shortlist those government high, middle and primary schools where it is the dire need to construct such ramps.
