Chandigarh: The entrance test for admission to different polytechnics in Haryana for diploma courses in engineering and technology, office management and computer application (OMCA) and library and information science will be conducted at various centres in Haryana and Chandigarh on 2nd June, 2007.
The admission forms can be purchased from state government polytechnics or government aided polytechnics on the payment of Rs.500 for general category candidates and for girls and for the candidates of the reserve category the form is available on the payment of Rs.125. The form is available from April 20 to May 18 during working hours.
The candidates belonging to reserved category will have to show the required certificate at the time of purchase of prospectus.
An official of the Haryana Technical Education Department said, there will be no entrance examination for admission to courses in pharmacy, hotel management and catering technology (HMCT), industrial personnel management (IPM) and business administration. Admission to these courses would be done on the basis of the qualifying examination. A separate announcement would be made for admission to these courses.
The last date for submission of the forms along with a demand draft of Rs. 500, which would be payable to the Haryana State Counseling Society is May 18.
