Gujarat boy selected for US aeronautical university
Surat: Inspired by astronauts of Indian origin Kalpana Chawla and Sunita Williams, a student here has secured admission to the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in the US.

Anant Makwana, who passed from the Seventh Day Adventist school, has secured admission to the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Florida, US, to study aeronautical & aerospace engineering.

After clearing SAT and TOEFL with flying colours, Anant made an online application to the university and was selected.

"I am fond of aerospace and aeronautics ever since my childhood. I used to watch documentaries on Discovery and National Geographic channels. When I decided for the science stream, it was a calculated choice," said Makwana.

"People like Kalpana Chawla and Sunita Williams inspired me," he added. IANS
