Panaji: With a view that Goa students find interest in Museums and the articles exhibited inside these, the District of Museums has formulated a scheme of popularizing Museum trips among school students.

Under the scheme, this year, all High schools which could not avail the facility during the last two years will be given an incentive of Rs.1000 for bringing least 40 students of standard VIII to Xth, to the Goa State Museum, subject to the rules of the scheme.

Interested institutions will have to register their names under the scheme and fix the date of their visit, contacting the authorities at Goa State Museum, EDC Complex, Patto, Panaji-Goa.

The department has sent a circular to this effect to all High Schools. Any inquiry can be made on telephone no. 2438006 with the Museum Authorities.
