Watch DU convocation of PhD students live today
New Delhi: It is for the first time that the Delhi University's annual convocation ceremony is broadcasted live on its website today.

The convocation ceremony of the PhD students can be seen live today as the family and friends of students who could not be accommodated in the Convention Hall at the Old Vice Regal Lodge can see it sitting at home.

"The number of PhD degrees awarded this year has sharply shooted up which is why there are issues regarding accommodation of families of all students. But to ensure that none missed that special moment of their child we have decided to telecast it live on the website," said a DU official.

Suman Kumar Verma, joint dean, students' welfare, said, "Parents who could not get passes need not feel disappointed."
