New Delhi: The prestigious St Stephen's College at Delhi University has declared its first cut-off list 2012, for its various courses, with the highest percentage being 98 in English (Honours) for Commerce students. It is seen that the college has raised the bar by between 0.25 per cent and 2 per cent in the popular courses.
These cut-offs will determine the candidates who will be eligible to sit for the interview round, which will be held between June 25 and July 8.
Economics (H), one of the sought after courses in the college have the second highest cut-off and this year even for the Scheduled Castes /Scheduled Tribes category, the cut-offs in Science and Commerce are above 90 per cent. For those seeking admission in English (H), students from Science background need 91 per cent, commerce students need 93 per cent and for humanities 90.25 per cent is needed.
The reserved Christian Others (C-OTH) category student's cut- offs for English (H) has gone up to 93 per cent for Science, 95 per cent for Commerce and 92.25 per cent for Humanities.
Other colleges in Delhi University will declare their first cut-off on June 26th and it is very much expected than the cut-offs are going to see a steep rise.
