Pvt. Schools to allow quota soon

New Delhi: In coming future it is expected that private schools in future be required to reserve at least some percentage of their seats for children belonging to economically weaker sections.

As the Union Ministry of HRD stated the Right to Education Bill, 2008, which contains several provisions considering responsibility of unaided schools to give elementary education to a certain percentage of children belonging to weaker sections.

The minister of state for HRD, Mr. MAA Fatmi, has also referred that the bill has not been finalized yet.

The minister further mentioned that, the government is committed to facilitate the performance of an appropriate legislation that would enable the realization of making education a fundamental right as required by the Constitution. He further added that the extent policy, commercialisation of elementary education is not allowed.
