Jamia Millia Islamia starts admission helpline
New Delhi: In a bid to help students secure admission to their desired courses, the Jamia Millia Islamia University on Monday announced a helpline number that will connect students to the department concerned.

"This helpline will help students connect to the department they are applying for regarding various queries during the admission procedure," an official from the university said.

Students will now be able to directly contact the heads of department and other officials.

"There are quite a few professional and non-professional courses on graduate and postgraduate levels in which unprecedented number of application forms have been received by the university. The helpline will facilitate the process of admission," the official said.

Jamia Millia Islamia has nearly 7,000 seats in over 230 undergraduate and post graduate courses.

The contact numbers have been put on the university's website. IANS
