Delhi University announces CATE Results 2010
New Delhi: Results of the Common Aptitude Test in English (CATE) for admission into the highly sought after B.A. English (Honors) programme offered by the Delhi University (DU) have been announced.

The Rank Wise list of General & OBC candidates who have qualified in the entrance examination can be accessed on the following link:

Last year, CATE was introduced by DU as an alternative to the several individual entrance tests for English (Honors) by DU colleges. Twelve colleges of the university had agreed to use CATE as the means to admit students in their English (Honors) courses.

More than 8000 forms for CATE were sold last year and over 6000 students had appeared for the test. It was observed by most colleges that had opted for CATE that the quality of students that were admitted to their English (Honors) courses had improved significantly.

The colleges that will use CATE as the means to admit students for their English (Honors) programme include Delhi College of Arts and Commerce (DCAC), Hindu College, Indraprastha College for Women, Kamla Nehru College, Maharaja Agarsen College, Ram Lal Anand College (evening), Satyawati College (Evening), Shivaji College, Zakir Hussein College (Evening), Lady Sri Ram College (LSR), Miranda House, Bharti College, Shaheed Bhagat Singh College and Deshbandhu College.
