| DU signs MoU with HCL to conduct IT training July 23, 2009 New Delhi: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between the Campus of Open Learning (COL), Delhi University (DU) and HCL Infosystems to offer Information and Communication Technology (ICT) training to students. Several short-term professional training programmes have been started by COL to make their students skilled. The tie-up aims at creating a new generation of skilled IT professionals who possess the industry perspective and practical understanding to become employable and productive. As per MoU, three six-month programmes such as Linux with Convergence Technologies Innovation, Web Development using PHP and Web Designing will be offered by HCL . The courses will be a combination of conceptual instruction and practical exposure for four months, followed by industry internship for two months. The COL decided to start this initiative with HCL to make students industry-ready professionals who are ready to take on ICT industry responsibilities without the need for any further training on the job. Registration for courses is on and classes will commence from next month. |
