Chidambaram gives peace message to Jammu, Kashmir students
New Delhi: A group of 44 students from Jammu & Kashmir on a tour sponsored by the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) called on the Union Home Minister, P.Chidambaram here today.

Their itinerary had already covered Mathura, Agra, Jaipur and Ajmer and are now here to meet the minister.

Interacting with the students, the minister in the presence of DG CRPF Vikram Srivastava said that, "Peace is necessary for the developmental process to gain the required momentum in J&K. If peace prevails in the state, everything that is available in other parts of the country in terms of development can be made available in J&K."

Chidambaram urged the students to look at the entire country and not just at J&K for job opportunities.

He said that Central Para Military Forces are going to recruit about 2,000 youth in J&K this year.
