Shivraj Patil announces Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan for Chandigarh
Chandigarh: In a bid to make quality education easily affordable and accessible to children in the age group of 14 to 18 years in the union territory of Chandigarh, Punjab Governor and Chandigarh administrator Shivraj Patil has announced that the Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan will soon be launched in the UT.

Shivraj Patil spoke at the Independence Day celebrations in the union territory at the Parade Ground in Sector 17 on Sunday. During the ceremony, he hoisted the national flag and also took the guard of honor at a parade.

Patil spoke at length about the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters and martyrs to make India an independent country and also emphasized on the developmental initiatives that have been taken up by the Chandigarh administration.

He further said that the administration was laying special attention on the health and education sectors of the union territory.
