Patna: A branch of the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) will be soon setup in Bihar. The State Government has given its approval to the proposal to establish AMU's branch in the State.

It was announced by R. C .P. Singh, Chief Minister's Principal Secretary.

Announcing this Mr. Singh said, "Branch of the university will be established at Kishanganj district."

The decision has been taken by the Government after getting a proposal from the University in December last year.
