Itanagar: Students of Arunachal Pradesh, after having enough from
China claiming the state to be part of its empire, re-iterated by targeting Beijing's biggest economic weapon - exports - although in a small way.
From February 8, 2010, a powerful group of students will boycott all the goods made in
China.
"In the backdrop of repeated Chinese claims over Arunachal Pradesh, the boycott becomes necessary. Every shop serving Chinese goods will be ransacked by our activists." said a written appeal from All Arunachal Pradesh Students' Union (AAPSU) President Takam Tatung.
The apex student's body, after seeking the trader's support in its movement said that the they were given ample time after month's request by Arunachal Chamber of Commerce & Industries (ACCI) to remove Chinese goods form the market.
"There's a lot to be done by the government to solve the issue. One case in point is the alleged captivity of Chabe Chader, a villager of Gumsing Taying in Upper Subansiri’s Taksing Circle area, by the Chinese army."
