NSS students to get reservation in CETs in Andhra

Nellore: The Andhra Pradesh state government is planning to reserve a percent of seats in all Common Entrance Tests (CET) in the state for students of the National Service Scheme (NSS). This information was given by NSS State Liaison Officer G. Bhaskar Rao.

Dr. G. Bhaskar Rao was in Nellore on Friday to participate in the first NSS Advisory Committee meeting of the Vikrama Simhapuri University (VSU). The meeting was also attended by assistant programme adviser of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports K. Rajendran.

Rao said during the occasion that according to the government plans, the reservation in all CETs for NSS students will be implemented from 2010-2011.

The government will also be presenting awards for the first time this year to best NSS volunteers, programme officers and coordinators in Andhra Pradesh.
