'Optometry is also a viable career option'
Hyderabad: The L.V. Prasad Eye Institute (LVPEI) on Saturday will organise a public forum on optometry to create awareness on its prospects for students from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. in order to make them aware and encourage them to take optometry as a career option.

The event will see presentations by professionals and academic optometrists, question answer session with vision scientists and a tour of the institute to the participants.

According to a press release, only those students who have passed their intermediate with MPC or BiPC or appearing for the second year final exams are eligible for participation in the event.

In collaboration with Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) at the Bausch and Lomb School of Optometry, Kismatpur, Hyderabad, LVPEI is offering a four-year BS programme in optometry.
